A Special Birthday Party

Zack's friend Polly had a birthday party yesterday complete with ice cream cake. Her present was a helicopter. Zack said she really likes flying things. A good time was had by all.

Zack is visiting grandparents in Colorado, and his sisters missed him so we arranged a phone call so they could talk. Here's how it went, completely unscripted:

Zack: "Hello?"
Zadie: "Hi Zack, I miss you"
Zack: "Haaaaah"
Zoe: "Hi Zack, I miss you and I love you"
Zack: "Ahhh"
Zadie: "I miss you and I love you"
Zack: "Ummmm"
(pause)
Zack: "Uhhhh"
Me: "Zack, do you want to say hi to your sisters?"
Zack: "Errrrrr"
Zadie: "Zack, SAY SOMETHING NICE TO US!!!"
